I am retiring soon and am fed up with NY. I am checking out places such as tn, ky, nc to see what the cost of living is.What are the property taxes like. Is there a state income tax. Sales tax etc.

Any help in my decision would be appreciated.I may even work part time.Not crazy about big cities.Like to hunt and fish.
