am in kuwait , i got this sms about winning a vehicle worth 140, 000$ , i called they asked about my id , job, adress....i gave them, how stupid i am! they said that i actually won a car...but i have to send them 1000$ for transportation , , , i dont' do such things usually , it was suspicious thing for me but since it was my birthday , i thought why not give it a try!!! maybe i really won the car and that is my lucky day... so i sent by western union to kenya to CHRISTOPHER MAINGI MAUYE

anyway they called me back and thanked me , and that the car will arrive to my country by five hours anyway at night they called again wanting 2000$ for mechanical problem so i refused then they said that i misunderstood , they said no only 500$ so they have to book a flight from germany to kuwait..anyway i got suspicious and i opened the net ( i wish i did that earlier , i wouldn't lost my money..) and found out that it's not only me, thousands of people are being trapped and lied by those thieves... so the next day they called and asked if i sent them the 500$ i said yes and gave them wrong MTCN number of the western union and a false name in arabic which means God damn you all, which they didnt't understand and they kept on calling me over and over , i just opened the line and said hello ...at last i said: "i wish my money and all of those you stole from , will be paid on your health and of the health of all your families...." then when i asked abt giving back my money they stopped calling...

anyway they are calling from kenya(+254)and from tanzania (+255)

i wish their government and the authorities could track their numbers and catch them ...

I received this message about winning a Toyota Prado VX worth $80 000 last night on my cell phone. I did not think that this was possible as I also had not entered any competition, esopecially in Kenya!!!!!!!

To Everyone out there receivig these messages.

Please this is just another scam to rob honest, hardworking people of all of their hard eraned cash. Why is it that since May 2008, no one has even tried to nail these ba...rds to the wall. If you take 122 entries above at an average of US$100 that people would or could have paid, that equates to US$122 000 for free and mahala. At todays exchange rate of R7.87 to US$1 that amounts to R960 140.00 over a 4 month period. Fortunately only a few people were caught out ( and sorry for that as it is a loss no matter how big or small) but nevertheless a nice income should everyone have paid US$1000 as asked.

Surely Toyota as a company should attempt to try and resolve this and put these criminal behind bars??? It is there good reputation being thrown out of the window. I cannot believe that with all of the modern technology available today that these thieves cannot be traced and nailed. Anyway I will sleep well in the assurance that I did not fall for this nonsense.
