My friend is travelling to Kenya to work in an orphanage for a month. The orphanage is in Ngong outside of Nairobi. I'm just wondering how the political situation is there at the moment.

I followed the aftermath of the elections in 2007 and it was really awful, neighbours turning on each other, setting houses on fire, so many pictures of teenagers wielding bloody knives in the streets! Is it safe for a foreigner there at the moment?
