Reasonable central apartment/hotel for 4 days in Sept?

4-5 of us ladies working in Dhahran Saudi Arabia are interested in attending a course being held in central Kuwait from 10-13 Sept. Having problems finding reasonably priced accommodation which when added to the cost of the course, and then the airfare (any tips on cheap flights between either Dammam or Bahrain, and Kuwait?), plus plus, is making it all a bit unfeasible.

Thought I would consult the expat oracle in Kuwait, not having been there before, and see if anyone can help?

I am currently living in a furnished apartment building, maintained like hotel. 3 Bed furnished apartment would be best for you. The cost is approx. KD 30-35 per day.

I am French phd student looking for a bedroom in Kuwait City for mid-March, April and May (2009). I will arrive on the 11th of March for a field research and I have found nothing so far.
