• Having all responsibilities of a telephone operator and familiar with Fidelio Software.

• Assisting the guest with the business center facilities like internet usage, typing documents for conference, photocopies, send and receive faxes for guests.

• Bookings for meeting rooms and checking if the set up(Tea/coffee/water set up, stationery/LCD projector, flip charts etc) is done as per the meeting co-coordinators instructions.

• Maintaining the business center library and keeping the books in good condition.

• Responsible for the cleanliness of the sitting area, work stations and board rooms.

• Besides the external and internal calls I was also attending to service center calls which was to attend to guest requests.

Marina Hotel Kuwait is a new hotel that opened in February 2005. I was one of the pre-opening team members. I have established and set up the telephone operator department and has been running smoothly till today. I have two junior staff . I was chosen Employee of The Month from the Front Office.

RESPONSIBLE FOR : TEPEPHONE OPERATORS AND ITS OPERATIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures the proper usage and maintenance of all telephone equipment and facilities.

• Proper handling of all internal and external calls.

• Telephone message taking and relaying to Front Desk.

• Compliance with guest requests(wake-up calls, housekeeping and engineering requests).

• Prepares or approves work schedules, requisitions etc. ensuring that there are enough Telephone Operators to service all calls at all times.

• Periodically updates, arranges and publishes in-house departmental telephone directory.

• Initiates commendations and misconduct notices.

• Performs the duties of the Telephone Operator whenever necessary.

• Training new staff , staff from other departments and trainees from outside the Hotel.
