What kind of salaries can an Expat expect? Higher than US, lower, the same? I have been approached to do work as an independent contractor, but don't know how much I can charge. This is with a US company and it would be a 2 year project where they provide the housing.

Is US$ 5060 per month + US& 400 as house rent an ok salary for a lecturer in Medicine faculty in Al Fateh university, Tripoli, Libya? any advice in this matter is highly appreciated. any Indian exapt social group there, how to get a medical job for wife in private sector in tripoli?

I am being offered a job in Libya. Can anyone tell me how mcuh of the salary can one send to his home from there. Is there any restriction on that.

If you are a native speaker of English you can apply for a part time job at the American libyan education & training center. they have ESl courses for kids and adults in the evening time.
