Hi all

I’m moving to Libya in the next couple of weeks. I have a son with anaphylaxis allergy to dairy and eggs. Any comments from anyone with similar circumstance would be greatly appreciated.

I am similiar to an extent. My husband is Libyan and I am Australian, we are off to Libya inthe next couple of months. So I will also be an expat with a child- mine is 9 months though. So wecan keep in touch an help each other through the culture shock

Great! I would love that. It looks like we are going on Saturday (3rd Feb) just waiting for ticket confirmation. We are going to be residing in tripoli. Let me know when are you planing to go and where are you planing to live.

first of all Shasha your welcome to libya, and I hope you will enjoy your work in libya.

my name is is aboubaker and I am cardiologist trained in UK and Ireland , I m thinking in very short time to open my clinic in cardiology in tripoli. your must welcome to contact me by all means to help you and pave the way for you and your child to make your working in libya as safe as possible.

off cousre you have to be carefull about your child and also bring with you the emergency kit just in case anything happened to your child. milk and diary product is major component of food in libya and you have to be carefull and read everything before feeding your child, ask if you cant understand the langauge before offering any food, peopole are honest they will advice you.

the haelthcare is an issue at the moment but soon it will improve. if you need any peadiatric doctor to look after your child I can advice you with one I know him very well as a freind and well known in libya and trained in UK, he is prof. saloman besraweel, he is the head of the pediatric department in TMC( tripoli medical centre) plesae let me know so I can connect you with him.
