Recipes and Food from Macedonia.

I was in Macedonia for a year with the USAID Mission. While there, Of course, I sampled the Pastrimka (Lake Ohrid Trout) but I also sampled the Lake Ohrid Eel.

I remember the pastrimka was served with optional garlic spread and the eel was served in a rice casserole.

I have not been able to find a good recipe for either of these dishes or for that matter any other recipe from Macedonia that is in English with the amounts of the ingredients in the American equivalent.

Can you help?

Hey Jim,

This is good point, takes this 'Ohrid Trout Fish' as a challenge and goes back to Macedonia, try to describe the way of preparing and became the first ever English recipe dish describer and promote your book!!!
