Q: What recommendations do you have for other webmasters?

A: Use software to make your SEO duties easier!

I am a fan and subscriber of the pro tools from SEOmoz. They make competitive keyword analysis simple.

Their tracking tools make it easy to follow rankings to see what is helping or what is hurting a campaign.

Q: What inspired you to launch your own website?

A: A buddy of mine was charged $800.00 for a 1 page website that included no text. It was one big graphic.

I knew I could offer a better product for less money. There is a lot of wasted money in this field. With my company I am trying to make a difference in this space. With my blog I am trying to educate people so they don't make the same mistakes my buddy did.

Q: Do you outsource services and how has it worked for you?

A: I have to this point outsourced very little, just a little development work.

I am currently looking for a designer / developer for Wordpress, and a good copywriter.

I have learned that I don't have time to grow my business while I am stuck working in my business.

Q: What is your eventual goal?

A: Eventually I would like to sell my business.

I would like to build up my customer base and grow the company to the point that I could sell it and retire.

Plan b. is to live off the residual income from hosting services I provide for all my customers.
