Hi James,

1st of all, if you are a foreigner, plz note that except when investing in biz or in Integrated Resort Schemes (IRS), only then are u allowed to own properties here.

If you are married to a Mauritian, then, properties can be on your wife's name.

Usually, you must expect an investment as from Rs 1millionn to 12 million for a beach house, depending on what you want.

Another option would be to purchase a piece of land and to build through the services of a contractor. This is cheaper than buying.
