Mexico is a great place to retire.

If anyone is interested in living and/or retiring to the Yucatan, we have a blog about living and working there. It's called Yucatan Living and it includes a lot of interviews with people living here. We've been told its pretty interesting :-)

Can you share a few inspiring tidbits to help us get a burning desire to check out your blog?

well, let's see. some of our latest offerings include a video on a cenote ten minutes from Chichen Itza and easy to get in and out of, an interview with an expat from California, an article about all the ins and outs of writing checks in Mexico.

we also have a weekly recap of news about the Yucatan, and a weekly listing of events in and around Merida.

there's more too....but there, there's a few tasty tidbits!

I live in Houston, Texas and plan a move to retire in Mexico. I am considering Xalapa, Merida and Manzanilla.

The beautiful ocean and palm trees are nice to hear about but I need to know if my modest Social Security will cover my expenses.

Is there some way I can find out realistically what i can

rent a basic apartment or house for.

I am an accountant and an actress.

If I could get some clasasified newspaper ads it would probably tell me what might be available. Also I need to know what I

can hire a maid part time for.

Any info would be welcome.
