Let me the first to apologize on the young lady's behalf. Although like every other person (Micronesian or not) there are naturally rude ass people. But most of the time when it comes to women it is a defense mechanism. I know because growing up we need to make sure that we are not talked to or spoken to by guys that are not from our family or we are automatically perceived as wanton and easy. Don't ask me how and why because I don't know. I just know that we are all sucked into these ridiculous traditions and customs that most forget were created by men. Micronesia is a very much still male dominated country as far as the years have come and most of us are living abroad the mentality of men are better than women still lives strong in the minds of our young men. So please do not take it personally she is either so jaded by the way she was told to act or she is simply just a jackass...
