To whom it may concern, can anyone please let me know it is like to live in Mongolia? What is there to do? Which is the best part of the town Ullanbator to live in? Any information would be most welcome.

Thank you

My husband's been offered a job in UB and a large concern is whether we can get our two large dogs over there from the U.S. (and whether we should)... thoughts?

I have been living in Ulaanbaatar now for 2 1/2 years. I am happy to offer you advice about many things to do with life here and moving here.

@ Helen Lord (and anyone else who might be interested).

One of the companies that I represent in Beijing wishes to recruit expats that are currently living in UB.

They are an international relocation company and are looking for Destination Consultants to help incoming corporate executives and their families settle into UB. The role is part-time and requires a resourceful person who can assist in getting people connected into the city with the least disruption. International experience helpful, excellent English skills, oral and written, are needed.

Helen is this of interest? If yes, send your resume to info@going-there.com as soon as possible since the Regional Director will be in UB from 18 - 20 July to interview potential Destination Consultants.

hello, I'm a student living and working in UB for the summer and I was looking for any expat sports leagues. I lived in Ho Chi Minh City last summer and played football and rugby with two expat leagues. Is there anything like that here in UB?

Dear All,

I would like to visit Mongolia in Spring 2009 and see if there are possibilities to stay and live there. Would like to know about the legal requirements to stay and live and work there. Would appreciate any kind of information about the country, people, business opportunities, work, life style, history etc. Speak German, English, Slovene and some Arabic. Am physio/bodywork therapist/translator/ESL teacher. Live currently in Cairo, Egypt. Thanks, Mira

Hi,

My company is relocating me to Mongolia. Does anyone know of a relocation company based in Mongolia that can help me find a property and settle in?

Thanks,

Mark

"Mongolia in April"

Hi all,

A friend and I will be coming to Ulaanbatar in April. We've got ourselves a 3 week placement working at NTV (the television channel). We know very little about Mongolia, and would really appreciate any advice on where to stay (preferably we'd like our own apartment), what to bring (because we're not too sure how cold it'll be) etc.

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated - at the moment we're trying to sort out visas, but the application form is in rather strange English!

Florence

"In Mongolia, It is cold now, so bring your warm clothes."

Mongolia is quite cold in this winter. So if anyone who is coming to Mongolia, must bring their warm clothes. UB is quite nice and interesting. Seems like foreigners have fun.
