I would very much like to hear from anyone thinking of moving to Morocco from Europe (in particular from the U.K)I am a British/Swiss national with a Moroccan boyfriend, currently living and working in London. We are hoping to move to Casablanca in the next two years or so. I would love to hear about your experiences, share ideas and perhaps ask questions about your transition to Morocco. I look forward to hearing from you guys soon. Many thanks, Ursula :o)

I will be moving to Casablanca in February 07 to join my fiancee. I would love to hear from anyone who is currently living in Casablanca as I will be away from my family and friends and do not speak Arabic! It would be interesting to get you views and opinions of how to settle in as I have never anywhere else but in the UK. Hope to hear from someone soon!

I Lived and worked in Casablanca for two years. Morocco is a great country to spend some time in, but the city of Casablanca is a hard place to settle in. Please, my advice for anyone, take a short holiday there before you make any decisions about moving there long term.

I'm thinking about moving to Casablanca since I visited this amazing city. Casablanca’s strategic location has made it Morocco’s largest port and the country’s economic capitol. It has been called the gateway to North Africa, and as such attracted interest from the major European powers in the early 20th century. Casablanca residents enjoy their free time too and, for many, that means hitting the seaside suburb of Ain Diab, where the beach clubs with their pools, cafes and sports facilities draw big crowds. It’s the perfect place for an action-packed day, to simply soak up some rays with a cold drink or just to get away from the city Casablanca.

Hi I don't live in Casa but I moved to Marrakech from the UK 2 years ago. I have visited Casa a few times mainly for shopping. It is a busy city ( Large Port ) not unlike many major European Cities. Seen as the economic capital of Morocco. There is pollution from the many cars in the very busy streets. For any 'couple' who are Moroccan / European as this is a Islamic country and you will find many obsticles if you are not married ( I base this information on personal experiance) If you are thinking of getting married Please feel free to contact me for any tips I can give you. I agree with Noel O make a few visits before you decide that it is the place for you. Just to add all the Cities in Morocco differ in many ways. This is just my opinion hope it is of help. Mabsouta
