Hallo guys

Am a qualified chartered accountant and am coming to stay in Mozambique for the next five years. Would you be kind enough to advise me about the following:

Likely cost of living for two adults and a one year baby(In USD terms)

Cost of flats /houses in a nice area in Maputo?

Language barriers, I do not know any portuguese , but am willing to invest sometime in learning this language.Will i easily find friends who are english speaking?

Advise also on other relevant topics.

one of my relative wishes to join sumaria group in mozambique could u some one pl confirm how is that group doing and how is std of living what if he gets 400 to 500 usd is it sufficient

Hi all. I am interested in re-locating to Mozambique. I have a business in South Africa but am really wanting to live in Mozambique. I am wanting to build a house on the coast, anywhere between Ponta de ouro and xai-xai. I have holidayed in Mozambique many times and find every time im there its harder and harder to leave.

Can anybody help me out with any info of what its like to stay there, cs I know theres a difference between staying and holidaying. If I cant build ,can I buy and what is the prices of houses now-adays. Are there any jobs for accountants? Any info anybody can give me will be much appreciated.

Hi all - I recently moved to Moz and seems I will not ever go back to SA.

Lots of questions on this site - I will supply answers! We have a excelent house set up with pool & pool bar, braai lapa, fully fitted out side rooms with bathroom in each - combined kithen still in progress! Secure with staff to clean and maintain!

We rent them out for permenant/part time stays! Permanant @ $610 per month. Sleep 2-3 people!

The main house have a lounge with entertainment for all residents!

Monthly food equals roughly $450!
