Kyla and I have been living and working in Mozambique for the last four years and working within the tourism trade. We have been managing an 18 chalet lodge which sleeps 155 pax and has a 60 seated restaurant, bar and swimming pool complex. The lodge held many functions ranging from weddings, conferences and parties, to accommodation for the President of Mozambique and his cabinet ministers. The job was very demanding, as we took over running Archipelago when it was shut down due to legal and managerial problems. But we both loved the challenge and relish this type of work, and in the end brought it to a financially and legally sound point. After just over three years with the lodge we both felt that we had gone as far as we could and needed to look for other opportunities and new challenges.

We have both would love to carry on working in this type of environment. Finding the correct placement is very important and we both are taking our time to find the right place.

Kyla and I have recently got married after being together for 8 years and we consider ourselves to be a stable and reliable couple. We both enjoy meeting new people, being in the outdoors and take great pleasure in giving our guests the holiday of their dreams. Kyla has successfully done a number of weddings for clients, family and friends, as she enjoys flower arranging, décor and function management, as well as the admin and accounts. I enjoy guest relations, planning itineraries, meet and greet, logistics, grounds management and maintenance. We therefore feel we complement each other in all areas and work well as a team.

We are a mature couple who have been in hotel and lodges for a number of years , we have just completed our contract in zambia

and in the market for the position of general management couple

we have work in 3 star to 5 star hotels and lodges, also had to train staff in all aspects of hotel work from chefs to housekeeping.

We are a management team consisting of me, the general manager (25 years experience), events manager, conference co-ordinator, accountant, sous chef(20 years), carpenter (kitchens, cupboards roofs, furniture, decks etc.) and receptionist.
