The reason I am sending you my letter is that I have decided to find relevant full-time job (teacher or PhD study or Academy Staff) concerning education, mathematics and physics in Namibia. I was born in Slovakia and have lived in Nitra. I have attended secondary school and five years on University there (graduated Mgr. – similar as M.Ed). Afterwards in 1988 I graduated in Mathematics and Physics obtaining PaedDr. (first degree doctorate so-called “small doctorate”) degree at the Pedagogical University of Nitra in Slovakia. I am qualified in mathematics, but am able, and more than willing, to teach physics. Recently I have started my external PhD study in Mathematics –Statistics, Education theory, Fuzzy Logic, Process Modeling and Computer technology in Education. I have experience of teaching both, in secondary and primary schools.
I have got close 5 years international experience in the UN and worked as an expert. I gained valuable experience in a variety of UN humanitarian operations in Africa and Cyprus. Prior to my current position, I was highly involved in adult education, mainly international law, psychology, conflict history, responsible for education and training of experts. I had a chance to improve my qualification through different international courses, conferences and workshops, all together more than 25 times.
My previous employers have recognized my high degree of motivation, which have promoted me to positions of greater responsibility. I was promoted to senior staff position as a Chief of Office.
In addition to my desire to join your University or school, you will find that I have experience in a wide range of fields, written in my European Union CV format. I am confident that I would quickly become a contributing team member.
I would be grateful if you would contact me if you have any vacancies relevant to my experience, or keep my information on file in case of future openings.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jaroslav HORVATH
