'Open a business in Nepal' Business

Hi, I want to open a guest house in Nepal. I am not a nepali citizen. What type of contract should I sign with a nepali person, to bye a land, build a hotel, and get all licenses.

I understand that on the papers everything will belong to that person, how can I insure myself in that case? What are the chances that that contract is reliable?

From what I have read, i dont have a right to invest in Nepalise hotel.

So I am obliged to have a nepali partner.

Please if someone had that type of affair in Nepal, answer me.

Hi Yulia,

I am sure there are ways around this. One of these might be to make purchases in Nepal through a corporation, rather than individually. An extension of this could be an international corporation that does business in Nepal.

I am a Nepali who has been living in the US for close to 20 yrs with an American passport. I am returning back to Nepal since I see Nepal as being ripe for investmenst such as the one your are speaking about. i am also interested in opening a guesthouse/hotel in nepal. i will be in about 3 weeks in nepal. i am german and would like to open a business with a partner, restaurant or guesthouse/hotel, in pokhara or kathmandu. if you are serious about this, we could do it together.
