Nepal Trekking Season

The best Trekking season in Nepal is during spring & autumn seasons Febuary to may & Sepetember to November Warm days make this season favorable for trekking & Expeditions. The monsoon season June, July and August. During this period, trekking is possible in the Mustang, Dolpo, Humla, Jumla, Rara Lake of Nepal & some Treking areas in Tibet.

Annapurna region Treking is the most popular Regions in Nepal also the trekking in Everest region is more strenuous and high altitude trekking another most popular trekking area is the Langtang region. Several pieces of gear help make trekking more enjoyable. One is a comfortably-fitting backpack. Many trekkers travel for extended periods and need to carry all of their belongings with them. A sturdy backpack can comfortably fit more than 20-40 pounds of clothing and gear. Next important item is sturdy hiking boots. When covering long distances, wearing the right pair of boots can make the difference between enjoying a trip and being in pain.

The best way to explore Nepal's unbeatable combination of authentic natural beauty and traditional cultural riches is walking on ones' organic rhythms of feet. Presently it is known as trekking. The dramatic contrasts in elevations and the climatic condition found here will support to the equally spectacular mix of lifestyles, wide range of vegetation and wildlife. When selecting your personal items, keep in mind the number of days you'll be camping, the time of year and the altitude. We advise our clients to bring these items:

Down Sleeping Bag Down Jacket

Long sleeved shirt Jumper or fleecy jacket

T - shirts Trekking shoes or boots

Comfy shoes for around the camp Mountain trekking boots

Polypropylene/wool socks Light cotton socks for under wool socks

Rucksack Sun hat

Woolen hat Gloves

Sun block for lips Goggles or sunglasses

Long underwear Insulated pants Nylon windbreaker

Nylon wind pants Water bottle

Sewing kit Medical & first aid kit

Flash light Batteries and bulbs

Swiss army knife Towel and toiletries

Nepal Trekking Permit:

For trekking in the Everest, Annapurna, Langtang and Rara regions, a trekking permit is not required, but you will need a National park / Conservation permit. However, the following places do require a trekking permit:

1/ Lower Dolpo and Kanchenjunga - Equivalent to US$ 10 per person per week for the first four weeks and US$ 20 per week thereafter.

2/ Manaslu – US$ 90 per person per week for trekking during Sept- Nov and US$ 75 per week during December- August.

3/ Humla- US$ 90 per person for the first seven days and US$ 15 per day thereafter.

4/ Upper Mustang and Upper Dolpo - US$ 700 per person of the first ten days and US$ 70 per person per day thereafter.

Note: Trekking to Dolpo, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, and upper Mustang can be undertaken only through registered trekking agencies.

An entrance fee is levied for visits to all National Parks and Conservation Areas. There is no charge for children under 10 years.
