SDI Media USA, a global leader in subtitling and localization services for the entertainment industry, is currently seeking qualified freelance translators to do translations of English media into Dutch subtitles. We are currently seeking qualified Dutch native speakers. Applicants must possess a strong comprehension of Dutch language grammar, punctuation, and colloquial expressions. MS Office knowledge desired. Intermediate English skills are ok.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform any necessary activities for International QC i.e., simulate, correlate, spot, proof, transcribe, translate or perform any other tasks that are required for all SDI Media USA’s products and services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- English reading and writing skills
- A solid command of native culture
- PC skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous translation experience desired.

Hello, My name is Raymond Klok, born and raised in the Netherlands and 37 years old. I travelled to America in 2006 to get married to the love of my life. I've been living and working since.
I have a bachelor's degree in social work and have a certification for recreational/sports leader. I have several other certifications as well.
Currently, I'm working as a case manager for a company that provides services to people with disabilities. My job is to link and connect them to the right providers and agencies. I also help them to meet their needs and research the possibilities of improving their quality of life.
I am very well known with as well the Dutch as the English language and see a great opportunity for me in this job. Since I moved to America, I hardly use my dutch skills anymore and with this job I can enjoy the combination of the two languages.
