My son, Jacob, was excepted by the Elckerlyk school in Leiderdop back in June. Between appying for a place and being excepted, Jacob was displaying some development problems ( no speech).I telephoned the school as soon as he was excepted to explain the problems my son was experencing and was told not to worry the could cope with what ever was wrong and would try to help. Believing this, I gave notice to a dutch nursery whitch he had been attending for 2 years and was very happy with. After only 6 hours of schooling at Elckerlyk was were told he had to meet a special needs teacher, when we arrived at the set up meeting with the special needs teacher after a further 6 hours schooling, we were not faced with a special needs teacher but were told my son was no longer wanted at the school because of his problems. As you can imagime we were very shocked as we had no idea they were planing to do this. This has left my son with no ineteraction with any childern of his age as there is a long waiting list to accept him back to the nursery. They are since reluctant to give us any minutes of the meeting that was held, and we have been faced with lie after lie on the telephone from them. My son is at a very vunrable time in his life and such unwillness for a school to help him and to lie to his parents is unaceptable in my eyes.Have you any advice? • Page 1 (Original Post) •
