Dancing Moon LLC, What We Do Q: Tell us about the business behind the website. Who are you? A: Our business was founded with the intent of revitalizing furniture built with old style methods and by tapping into local talent. The styles are varied and borne out of the travels and experiences of our main designer to various countries including India, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Israel to name some. We enjoy working with our customers. Q: What has been your biggest challenge? A: I'll take the liberty to list two. The first one is finding materials at a reasonable cost that meet our Green policy. You can find reclaimed wood, but if you purchase at a long distance transportation costs are very high. We are always on the lookout for new sources. The second one is to find advertising at a reasonable cost. We would love to advertise in some of the main furniture and interior design magazines or on ABC but we would all need to sell body parts to be able to afford this. We are forced to be creative and find advertising sources that give us decent return on investment at affordable prices. Q: What inspired you to launch your own website? A: Well the internet is an amazing tool a company located in a small town can with some reasonable effort present a forum to folks throughout our planet. So I guess the answer is we want to be known to as many folks as possible. As I suggested above a website does require effort and designing an SEO friendly website is a good start which is a science in itself. Q: Do you use Social Media and how? A: We do use social media. We are on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We find they are: 1. An excellent way to make contacts with potential customers. 2. They provide a means of advertising we use the Cost-Per-Click option. 3. They are a forum to share ideas and information. We recently submitted a request to one of the LinkedIn groups for reclaimed materials sources. Q: What makes your website different from other, similar pages? A: We wanted our website to represent the character of our company, which we feel has a unique approach to designing high end art quality furniture. So, we wanted a unique website, this led us to design a fully custom website and not use a cookie cutter change the color and background type of design. The website is also simple but sophisticated and very easy to navigate. |
