I have an old barn built withhand hewn beams and pegs. This barn was built in the early 1800's. I know thw house beside it was built in 1802. The barn withstood the civil war and many years of dairy farming and hog production until the farm became unproductave in the late 1990's. It has fallen recently in a bad storm and has not yet been touched but I would love to part with the beams and logs. Otherwise, I will use the materials in building a new home of my own.

Just thought I would let you know about a website that buys and sells old barns and barn wood. You can list your barn with a description and upload pictures also. We advertise nationally and are averaging between 40, 000 and 50, 000 hits a day. You should stop by and check it out. www.TheBarnPages.com

For sale a 22'x22'x approx. 14' Chestnut log barn.Price....$6, 000.00 you pay for shipping. Log barn is numbered ready for reassembly. This is a nice log barn with good medium sized logs, there are 15 or 16 from ground to top of walls however bottom row of logs on half of barn have been resting on ground so i think that first row will have to be discarded, otherwise this barn has minimal openings for an old barn and will make a very fine cabin. Price is below average for Chestnut and condition is as good as it gets. Email me a.s.a.p. if interested as log barn will be disassembled yet this week? I have many photos. Thank you Tim (919) 398-1155 tim @ allsomerenos.com
