Hello, I'm looking for an old tobacco barn/s to make into a cabin. Will dismantle, remove and clean up the site. My desire is to save the structure from further decay and preserve the heritage of these majestic structures. I do not want to make lumber from the old barn but make it useful as a cabin retreat. If it is such bad shape that some logs can't be used in walls then yes, I would use those timbers for flooring, doors, cabinets somewhere in or on cabin.

Hi, We have two barns that need to be saved. We are looking for cash. You remove at your own risk! They are old and authentic. Can send pics, located in Danville, Va. Will be out of luck after September 10th, 2009!!

Greetings:I am wondering if responder #1, Bill, still has barn timbers available? I am looking for three timbers from a real VA tobacco barn to use in a home project (mantle piece). Realize it is after 9/10, but had to check! So, Bill - if you could, please respond to me at dmd666@embarqmail.com. I have an old tobacco barn that is disaseembled and ready to be moved. the old logs are 14 ft. in length and are hand cut.
