I am a graduate student in Historic Preservation and Museum Management. I am looking for a hand hewn log cabin or tobacco barn in NC, VA, or SC to dismantle and move to my historic home in NC. I will then rebuild/restore the structure using period materials and house period tools in it for public display. Please contact me at srwest@gmail.com if you have a structure that you would like removed. I sincerely appreciate your assistance in this endeavor. Stephen West

We have two old tobacco barns in the Mt. Airy area. One built in late 1800's, hand hewn, never painted and in excellent condition.

For sale a 22'x22' x approx. 14' Chestnut log barn.Price....$6, 500.00 OBO you pay for shipping. Log barn is numbered ready for reassembly. This is a nice log barn with good medium sized logs, there are 15 or 16 from ground to top of walls however bottom row of logs on oone end have been resting on ground so i think that first row will have to be discarded, otherwise this barn has minimal opening for an old barn and will make a very fine cabin. Price is below average for Chestnut and condition is as good as it gets. Location of barn is in Concord, VA Email me a.s.a.p. I have maped, categorized it for reassembly and i have many photos or photos can be seen at www .thebarnpages. com. Remember to remove the spaces to the web site! Thank you Tim (919) 398-1155 tim@alsomerenos.com
