HiI am looking into Nova Scotia as a destination for me and my family. I am lucky enough to raise 87 "points", have a career in IT systems, technical degrees and all that good stuff. However the "normal" federal immigration process is currently taking 48 months to complete. For personal reasons that's way too long. So I am hoping to get a quicker result by getting a job offer. I read that Nova Scotia needs new people, expecially if they are skilled or educated. However, the enquiries I have made do not even attract any replies, much less any interest. I am having an interesting time working out why. I would appreciate it if anyone could help rationalise this apparent contradiction that I seem to be coming across. Better still, some hints, tips or contacts would be great. I have 20 years in software development and systems management. Mainframe, UNIX, MS, Java, C etc. My degrees are MSc Bioinformatics and BSc Molecular Biology. I am sort of a genetic engineer and a software engineer at the same time. So if you need your zebrafish programming.... (that's a sort of joke). Anyway, thanks in advance. Carl
