We've been looking in these areas at cottages for sale. it looks beautiful but does anyone know what the weather is lake in Doctor's Cove...is it very windy and how is the water in this cove for sailing for a beginner...let me say thatI was known as the capsize queen when I recently took sailing lessons at a tiny local marina (inland not on the ocean). What is the area like socially...will the locals be very upset that a cottage is being sold to non-Canadians or are they fairly accepting of foreigners. Thanks

Hi. I have actually lived in the area and own a home there even though I now live out west. I love this area. I have lived in many places in Canada and absolutely adore this part of Canada. The little inlets in and around that area are perfect for a beginner sailor. And the weather! The weather is most of the time mild. There are certainly areas that are more windy but only because they are more exposed to the open ocean. We will be moving back ina couple of years and I can't wait. The people there are lovely. They are very curious and inquisitive people but socially are very accepting of outsiders. Our house is directly across from the Sobeys in Barrington Passage. We have it for sale right now because when we come back we want something maybe on the island and away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city life. ha ha

Yes the house is listed with Coldwell Banker realty. There is an office across the street from Sobey's. I think it is called Tri-Key Realty. It's a huge house for a very small price too. Let me know what you think.
