I would like to hear from anyone who has retired to Nova Scotia. Which part is the best part for people who like to be involved in the arts, theatre, but need an acre or two, etc. How do you find the weather? I'd love to hear from someone who has experienced a move to that part, and how they feel about it now. Any regrets?

My wife and I are considering moving to Nova Scotia in the next year or two. I'm currently working; she is retired and collecting Social Security. I'm a writer and fundraiser; she's been -- and occasionally still is -- a teacher and tutor. I think we can qualify as permanent residents with our job skills, but I don't know if they'll let us in. And I can't find any information on Canada's official web sites about whether we would be covered by Canada's Medicare system. Does anyone know? • Page 1 (Original Post) •
