Hi,

I am working in India in a IT company.Current salary is around 8 lac P.A. I am attaeding a interview for Oman in a saud Bahwan group. I am selcted for Interview for post of CA/ ICWA with 6+ yeras of experiance.

Comany is offering me "An attractive tax-free remuneration package with high savings potential will be offered to selected candidates. Other benefits include free air passage, annual leave, free medical attention, etc, besides performance based annual bonus and increment.

For Chartered Accountants / Cost Accountants, fully furnished family accommodation will be provided besides conveyance, soft furnishing, utility allowances as per company scheme and free school bus facilities for children."

What should i qiote for the "tax-free remuneration "?

i need at least Rs. 50000 PM as saving in omam.

Please guide & suggest ASAP.

Hi all i am a driver training company providing profession driver training the courses we cover are basic thought to advanced as well as off-road training, and i am trying to get some contacts in the oman. as i understand the driving standard is low and the death rate is high, i would welcome and advice or company contact information.

I am Thai man from Thai land I have to go Oman soon may be next 2 moths for my offer work with my company. I would like to know about the price for rent the room in Muscat. I am looking for 1 bed room and private bathroom. Have queen size of bed the prices are about 70 to 100 OMR per month and I would to have long term rent about 8 months. So if you have the room like this for 2 people would be nice. Do you have any photo and map for you location?

Hello, i have two-room suite with pvt bathroom and one balcony in each room im ready to rent for girls only who live in Mascut and seeking elited accomodation.

really nice panoromic view(fotos attached are taken from the balcony), u can see the sea, big mosque, parking area.

best offer shoudnt be less than 100 OR

by the way, im an open minded egyptian girl so the offer is for grls only.(witn no preference in nationality or age, but must respect and be open minded to other cultures and religions)

I am an Indian getting a salary of 420, 000 INR CTC. I got a job offer from oman with a basic salary of 300OR + 21RO as food allowance+acmdtn+annual air+company car with maintenance. I am single and having 3 yrs of work exp. in IT Sales. My qualification is MBA+BIT. Is this offer is good or it is just bread and mouth offer. Plz suggest at earliest as I have to accept that offer within days. Pls suggest if you have the experience in Oman or living thr. Plz

In Oman The following expenses are expected

House Rent:

Muscat Area.

2 bed room House ranges from OMR 200 to OMR 650 depending up on the area and age of the building.

Sohar Area:

2 bed room House ranges from OMR 100 to OMR 350 depending up on the area and age of the building.

Monthly Groceries/Water and Electricity/Vegtables for family of 2+2:

Ranges from OMR 60 to 120 depends on the food habits.

School Expenses:

School fees per kid ranges from OMR 30 to 45 per month and pick up by bus(In case house is located far from the school) or car to school ranges from OMR 10 to 15 per month per KID.

Eating Outside in decent hotel:

For family 2+2 ranges from OMR 5 to 10

Owning a car:

Owning a car is very easy in Oman you can get new car entry level @ down payment of OMR 600-800 with monthly installment of OMR 100 it is always better to buy Toyota in Oman which is having very good resale value and can be easily sold. Secon hand cars are also availbe in the range of OMR 600 to 2500. For short term planning it is always better to go for the second hand market.

White Goods:

Home appliances in oman are very cheap and you can get lot of choice.

It is better to be forced bachelor in Oman for first 6-8 months and later we can bring our families. Getting a driving licence is one of major work in Oman and it is better to join the driving school as early as possible since Oman is not having adequate public transport system.

for all,

oman is one of the destination everyone wants to live....the living is EXTREMELY CHEAP over here....food costs nothing much too.... for example: a person earning 300 rials can save upto 200 riyals if he/she is a normal spender.... but night life here is quiet expensive....about 10 riyals per night at clubs and pubs...yea pretty much

am a descent person living in India. I got an offer to work in Oman For Bhati Bros. Group. I do not know much about the company and the salary fixed for me is 200 Riyals and after 6 months +50 riyals. Accomodation is given by the company. Please advice me whether I can save something with this salary and send it to my parents in India. Please advice me the rates of the food items available if possible.
