I am an Indian doctor with a job offer of 650/- OR per month in a private clinic in Muscat.Is this salary adequate?Can I take my wife,a child and father(nonworking)with me?Is there any rules against taking my father?Please reply to killerbranch@yahoo.co.in

Dear Friends

I am being offered a Recruitment Manager's job in one of the big Parent Company with a salary of O.R 1100 / with HRA, car and fuel and cell phone, and family status. Have 11 years of relevant foreign experience and 7 years in the relevant HR recruitment field

Is it worth it and is this good money? to live comfortably in Oman and is this affordable to live in a nice area, with nice car and good life style yet having some basic savings.

i m a surgeon.i have been offersd salary of OR 900+HRA300+200incentive that is total of 1400.Is this average /good salary.what is the cost of good living there with car, child with good education, transportation, fooding, lodging, security.how is life there.what will be the saving there in this.please reply soon. thanks.prateek

Hi,

I am a software eng. M/27 from India with exp of .5 years. i get a job offer as Technician and Salary offered 1850$

(712 ORM/month) nothing else mentioned. This is a contract base work for 1 year (Renewable).

1) In feature can i get family visa?

2) What is the cost of living there Is this salary is sufficient?

3) After 1 year can i Get some other job in same country in my field.

how much is the suitable salary (OMR) for living there a good life ?

what can i ask in an interview ?

I see a lot of confused souls here. Oman is one fine place to live with possibly the best nationals in the world. Cost of living is low, but its rising recently. Anyway, its worth it.

But you have to go low on party life. A good salary would be OMR. You can support a family and save a bit with that. Try to demand atleast 1200 or 1500 when it comes to qualiied personnel. Engineers and Doctors are the highest paid people.

Dr. Rajesh, kick that consultants ass. he's trying to pull a fast one on you. And Rathesh, what are you waiting for...Jump in bro. That's one of the best bargains you can expect. Civil (or mech)engs can demand around 1000 based on experience. With good experience you could go upto 1500. In my opinion minimum cost would be 600 OMR for a family man, or even a bachelor should not take less than 400 OMR. Its not worth. I hope now the scene is a bit unambiguos. Got any more doubts.., (well...I've just been there or a visit, my brother is there) feel free to mail me. I will try to help. All I can say is Omani's...they r cool..(if not teen bugs!)

i got 2 kids. i did MSc in IT from UK and experience 0f 5 years.

is it good salary for oman.

secondaly can we save on this ammount.

I am networking and telecom professional working for a leading US based MNC drawing approx 10 lakhs rupeeas PA in India I have my Masters of Engineering/ME in Networks from a reputed University. I come with a total relevant experience of 5 years.

Recently I am doing HR negotiation with a leading Construction company at Muscat for the post of Assistant Manager IT and also with another construction company for the role as Consultant Networks.

As I have no idea of Salary and compenstation at Muscat please suggest me how much should I pitch in.

I am 29 and single. But my parents would join me later. During interview rounds they did mention that they would offer me all paid up accomodation and medical insurance

I got selected in Kaefer engg ltd as GET(Mechanical engg) in oman with a salary of 200 OMR +Accomodation+ Food and tickets.i am fresher is it gud to start with this salary as campany is german base with almost in 60 country also my one friend is in abu dabhi from same company.

1. Is that sufficient for a family of four?

2. How is education in Oman (CBSE)

3. What are the rents like, near Ruvi?

4. Whats the procedure for getting a driving license?

5. What is the approximate salary for a teacher(my wife's a teacher?)

5. How much would a car cost, new and second hand?
