for anny combustion engine the custom is ; 75%custom, 6%sales tax and 6.5% withholding tax. the vehicle cannot be more than 3 years old . But in my opinion , you should consult with A lawyer, solicitor whom specialise in this field regarding (tax) and imports.

In Anny Cass there is always someone out there who knows someone who knows sumone.

I hope this info will help , it is the latest I've receved.

New vehicles can be imported freely by any one, under the generally applicable import procedures and requirements, like any other goods, on payment of applicable duty and taxes. 3. Used vehicles can only be imported by Pakistani Nationals under any of the following three schemes (certain restrictions and conditions apply): �� Transfer of residence �� Gift �� Personal baggage 4. I have seen many questions but no answer on this board.

I know little about cars, so it may help you guys,

Cars can be imported on 3 categories, Gift, TR or baggage schemes. all will have same kind of duties depending on the age of the car and origin of the car, ie eurpean brands have more duty compared to japanese cars. only upto 3 years old car can be imported or gifted. duty is calculated on the price of car, engine size. for old cars price deperciation upto 50% of the value can be given. e.g if you have 3 years old car that can deperciate to 50% of value and hence lower the duty on it.

also have a look at www.pakwheels.com they have good car import forum.

for general customs and duty www.cbr.gov.pk
