I am working as sales manager at Landworth Ltd in Hong Kong. I would recommend you settle in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It is close to beautiful Islamabad and much peaceful city than Lahore and Karachi. My friends shifted from Lahore to Rawalpindi just due to to noise and hectic life in Lahore.Omer Malik

As some one who has been seriously deliberating about retirement to Pakistan I would like to mention a few items for consideration of those interested.Public services such as electricity, telephone, water and sewage, transportation, natural gas and roads are all extreamly unreliable and often missing. Your retirement plan should include alternate arrangements for each of these services so you could rely on them being available most of the time. For a relatively trouble free retirment you should also consider a 24/7 video audio servelliance system, security system (entry and exit control), survival plan, storage of food stuffs etc. Extensive home entertainment system so you are not dependent on leaving your home for fun. I am almost sure you won't find any rental property that will meet your needs. Therefore consider building your own place. Hopefully you will not be working so you don't have to acquire an expensive plot in a big city. People live in big cities for employment, education or civil infrastructure. If you don't need any of this why live in expensive and polluted cities. These re just my thoughts, like to hear from all you contrarians.Good Luck.

Your message sounds more like "retirement in your own house without essentail services." Why then pick Pakistan... when you could instead retire someplace that you didn't feel the needs to be locked up inside your house?
