Where are the best places to retire for US couple

We are going to Panama at the end of November. We will have 7 days excluding travel time. We would like to visit possible retirement areas. We need help. We need to check out places where we can enjoy life with a budget of around $2000 per month.

You could retire on Taboga Island for $2000 a month no problem and I have have a small house on Taboga for sale, if you would like to see it let me know. They have a daily shuttle that takes you to the island each day and the island has TV and internet. There are 18 Americans that live on the island now.

My house will be sold furnished and an American lives in front of me. Nice ocean view.

Me and my husband also want to retire in Panama we have been looking at some places but this once caught our eye. There is a town in Chiriqui called Boquete, its all mountains. Beautiful views. I found a website paloaltomountainclub.com of a new develpment that is being built there. it is suppost to be designed for retired people. Apparetly they will take care of everything for you. I contacted them and they told me that they are having tours for people that are interested in buying there. we are planning to go in august.

I just retired to Dolega (on the road from David to Bouquette)

I found a very nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with many amenities

in a very nice development with a variety of neighbors.
