Hi everybody, I am thinking to retire soon to Panama but I am not able to move over there right

away. My children are not yet on their own and I have to manage all other things which may take

a couple of years.

My question is how soon when I get all the paperwork done I have to move to Panama, also when I am over there how long I can spend time out of the country.

Thank you all for your answers,

Ps0zxd

If you are an American citizen and want to retain that citizenship then in order to leave the country you have to remember that you need to go back before 6 months time and spend another 90 days in the U.S. to retain all your benefits and citizenship.

As far as how long it takes after you have all your paperwork done, unfortunately I am unable to help you with that. And how long the papers are eligible for you to take advantage I think the best thing to do is to contact immigration. They will give you the exact time you have to make your decision.

You can stay out of the USA forever and retain your citizenship. To lose it you must affirmatively renounce it. You can vote for USA Presidents and renew your poassword at any US Embassy.

Social Security benefits might vary depending on where you live.
