I'm looking for a good family oriented bed and breakfast in Panama City. Any recommendations? Websites?

El Litoral sounds like a nice bed and breakfast inn. El Litoral is near the best mall and restaurants in Panama City. Also, El Litoral is very close to the airport and the tourist attractions. I think its very family oriented because you can play sports, go to the beach, play golf, and enjoy the nature. You can visit the web link for more information.

Arcos de Bella Vista is within walking distance of the newest tourist destination. This bed and breakfast offers airport transportation to and from the airport. They offer private tours with well knowledgeable tour guides. This bed and breakfast is a nonsmoking facility.

I have heard good things about Arcos de Bella Vista. My friend visited Panama last year and stayed at this bed and breakfast. She said that the staff was very friendly and there was a lot of attractions near the location. You can go the website to find out more information.

Patty's Casitas looks very nice. Prices are very reasonable as well. They even provide babysitting at an additional price!

If you can find a "real" B&B that is your best place to stay, especially in a foreign country. By "real" B&B I mean one that has a common area for breakfast, preferable one large table. It is even better if the rooms don't have TV's and there is one living room people hang out in rather than alone in their rooms. If you stay at a hotel, and eat in their restaruant you'll usually find that you eat with your family and don't talk to anyone else. At a bed and breakfast with one large table for breakfast, the social environment is much more like one big family. Everyone interacts with everyone. People on their way home have great stories about where they've been. People arriving have lots of questions. You'll make new friends and maybe take some tours together.

When I travelled through England and Wales I stayed mostly at bed and breakfast stops. It was great. You get great treatment, fantastic breakfasts at a fraction of hotel costs and wonderful people to meet. After doing that in England I would probably do it no matter where I went to travel through. As far as I'm concerned B&B's are the greatest places to stay. One time in England we ended up getting soaking wet and when we arrived at the B&B they took our clothes and hung them in the Drying Closet... which was an opening in the duct work where the hot air left the building and by morning our clothes were dry as a bone. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
