Does anyone know of current wages for security guards in Port Moresby, Lae and also in the Eastern Highlands?Services required for residential dwellings and also possibly combine driver/chauffeur/security ?? personnel involved would be for Aussies on both short term ( two to three weeks)and long term ( up to 2 years) deployment in PNG

Greame there are many security companies in PNG that can provide you with services at nominal rates for as long as you need. The companies usually charge around 5kina an hour for a static guard and up to 10 kina an hour for a dog and handler. The guards themselves are lucky if they see 1 kina of this an hour. Each company is able to provide a package deal and will be happy to tailor it to your needs. Depending on what part of PNG you are in will depend on which company i would recommend.

I like to enquire whether anyone knows of or has any vacancies in the near future, for an individual with my skills and experience. I leave the army in May 2009 after 22years.As you will see from my enclosed CV, I have had a series of demanding leadership roles within HM Forces, with a lively combination of HR, training and accounting responsibilities requiring broad competencies and tremendous versatility. I am now coming to the end of my career in the army and looking to use my considerable managerial and administrative expertise in a different area of work. I am therefore looking for a new and suitably challenging position, ideally with a managerial brief or in the security industry. I believe that my key qualities are my excellent interpersonal and communicative abilities, combined with a flair for effective organisation and clear strategic thinking. I see myself as an energetic and strongly driven individual who sees a project through to the end. I would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to your organisation and I look forward to hearing from you. Andy

I'm dis-heartened by the current climate in the UK for close protection officers and looking to relocate. Could anybody please advise me on companies looking for CPO's in PNG and contact details if possible. I'm ex military and have covered every aspect of the security industry. Thank you for your time reading this and look forward to your replies. Stay safe Deano • Page 1 (Original Post) •
