Looking for information on Ron Dembosky? Found two original watercolors from him painted in the 1960's and can find little info about him. I do know he was from Penn. & died about 8 years ago.

Ron graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art. He's been exhibited extensively, has received more than 180 awards in art shows nationally, and been featured in 17 one-man shows. His work is included in the private collections of such notables as Johnny Carson, Hugh Heffner, former Governor of Pennsylvania, Richard Thornburgh, Malcom Forbes and many others. Before his death, he worked and resided in West Chester, Pa.

Ron Dembosky is among the elite artists of the 20th century. His paintings extend to every medium and his recognition as one of the best American artists is being praised throughout the country. The value of his art will no doubt increase dramatically as time progresses and his works are published for all to appreciate. A Pennsylvania resident in the West Chester area he was well received up and down the east coast, winning many awards along his journey. At some point he developed an allergy to oils and made the change over to working in acrylics as well as water color and pen and ink. While still active in the art field his paintings were selling in the thousands of dollars. His forte was painting scenes with wood in a state of deterioration, so realistic that you could almost get splinters from touching it. He accomplished the same feeling with metals such as old trains rusting into oblivion. His works are very collectible.

I purchased a Ron Dembosky signed ink drawing of a nesting Canadian goose from an estate auction in Lebanon, PA. The detail is stunning.

Our family bought one of Dembosky's earlier oil paintings in the 1960's. It is a thought-provoking work ...always a conversation starter when a guest sees it for the first time. It depicts an African American reaching over a barbed wire fence so that he can save a bird who is trapped behind that barrier. There are shadows of the Klan observing.. a shadow of a burning cross. This man is putting himself in great danger to save the helpless bird. We think the man symbolizes Christ. There is much tension in the painting and the setting is dark and stormy. It truly is a magnificent piece of art. Would anyone know its worth?

I am wondering if this is the same Ron Dembosky that painted such works as "A String of Transformations" and "Cat-A-Moran".
