I am researching the family of James Casey (wife : Delaney) who was born in Ireland, immigrated 1825, as part of the Peter Robinson settlers, to Otonabee Township, near Peterborough in 1825 with his parents (Thomas Casey and Johanna McCarthy) and siblings. The family left the Peterborough area circa 1826 and is thought to have moved to the Welland, Ontario area. He eventually moved to Buffalo, NY, in 1853 and finally settled in Erie Pennsylvania where he became a wealthy railroad builder. He died in Erie in 1886, his wife havin predeceased him by two years. Would be interested in learning of the movements of James Casey and his parents in the period 1826-1853, i.e., after they left Peterborough, Ontario, and before they settled in Erie PA. Sincerely, Peter McConkey
