I have been searching for information on an Edward Drugan that probably died in the 1760's. He had two sons, Phillip and Patrick. I am interested in him in terms of local history (Kent County, MD) because he was an early merchant and ship owner in the area. He had an interesting but tragic career that landed him in jail for debts. There are no Drugans in the area prior to his marrying a landed widow, so he probably came from somewhere else. Any information would be helpful.

I do not know of any connection to Kent Co. Maryland just a later connection of my family in Dushore Sullivan Co. Pennsylvania probably after 1850. However my grandad was Patrick Drugan and my great grandfather Philip from Co. Cavan and Co. Fermanagh. These people could have been connected to my family but I have no way of knowing. We have very few Drugan's in Ireland today. There are also a few in Scotland and England but not many.
