| Questions: Freshman truancy?? Please help!? Alright, so I'm 15 and I live in Pennsylvania. I got charged with truancy and we have to go to court for it. But I wasn't skipping class or anything. I was at home because I keep getting these headaches that make me dizzy. And not just a little dizzy, like full on the room is spinning sort of thing. So I guess they're charging us (me and my mom) because we always forgot about turning in those dumb notes. Our life is pretty hectic. My mom has some severe health problems going on right now (mini stroke, severe anxiety and such) plus she has to take care of my Nanny who has all sorts of blood pressure and heart problems, and we always have to scrape together money to pay the rent (sorry, not trying to lay down a sob story here =P) so the notes kinda got pushed to the back of our minds. Anyway, what's going to happen? Are we going to have to pay a fine? We really can't afford it... And will it go on my record? I have straight A's in honors and a record won't help when I'm trying to get a scholarship. I'm really freaking out here. Thanks in advance. |
