Does Peru have a particular type of music to it? Can someone recommend where I can sample their kind of music? I am also interested in the country's music history and the extent of their culture, which I believe is rich.Morever, if football is popular in this country are there any chances that they will participate in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. There could be other kinds of sport unique to it.

Many of those were played with a mixture of Spanish and Indian instruments and used the Spanish coplas as lyrics. The most popular genre of música criolla in Perú is the MARINERA , said to be the national dance of Perú. Other main genres are Peruvian: vals Tondero festejo polka The national "Day of Criolla Song" (Día de la Canción Criolla) is October 31 in Perú. If you look then on youtube I'm sure you will find some videos . • Page 1 (Original Post) •
