Does anybody know of any famous or at least popular Philippine artists? Alive or dead. It doesn't matter. If so, please provide some information and a link if possible. Thanks!

There are three very famous artists I can think of off the top of my head. They are Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo, and Fernando Zobel. I don't have a site or link for you, but I am sure if you just google the names you will find some of their works. If I remember correctly, they have all passed away.

Hi can anyone help me with some information on the current whereabouts of Oscar De Zalameda? My mom bought a painting in 1973 he had done in cubism. It is however still unauthenticated and would like to have it so we up the selling price of it. I heard from someone that the master is in reclusion somewhere in the quezon province with a failing health. (don't know if this is true?)

The Zalameda painting was purchased on July 5, 1973 (I wrote it down at the back of the painting) and I seem to recall that this was painted in 1971. I purchased this from Josie Gomez, the wife of Resty Gomez, who used to work for the Foregin Affairs Department in Manila and also overseas.The dimension of the painting itself (without the frame) is 18x27 inches. The painting is still in its original frame when I purchased it.
