Are fish markets very profitable for the locals? Do tourists buy much fish or is primarily the locals?

I wouldn't think tourists would buy fish really? I mean usually tourists stay at hotels or resorts and would not exactly cook their own meals. But i would imagine the ones who come on a work or student visa would buy fish i suppose. I think it's more for locals.
