Typhoons & other disasters

SandraDee from The Boardwalk -

How long has it been since that really bad typhoon hit the Philippines. I remember it about 10 years ago. It was bad, left many people without homes. What other natural disasters do the Filipinos worry about?

Hi SandraDee,

I'm not all too sure how long ago that was. Ten years sounds about right.

Other than typhoons, there are mudslides. I am not sure what else?

HI!

I guess this past few years marked more tragedies and disaster in our country and just as economy is getting worse here there's not a doubt more and more filipinos are living in poverty.

I guess more than the natural disasters that can hit our country or any country in particular nothing can be more worse than the "political tragedies" While this kind of tragedy does well for the politician goons the deeper the people gets in the pit of hardship and worthless future. Nature's disaster are "natural" it's almost inevitable and no one can have any control with it but with politics it's all about control, power and greediness. It's sad enough for the rest of us to be victims of nature's tragedy in one barrio or city or village etc. but political tragedy strikes the whole of our nation.
