What is the medical field like in the Philippines? Are the costs reasonable? Would anyone suggest using a Philippine service and for what procedures?

I personally would stick with having any surgeries and such done in my homeland. I find it too risky to have surgeries anywhere else because of communication barriers. Also, imagine how scary it would be to have a surgery go wrong in a foreign land, however miles away from your homeland and your family... That's really scary.
