My family is looking for a full-time live in housekeeper, whose primary duty would be to clean the house, and just kind of keep everything tidy. You would not be expected to really clean every room every day, since it is a very large house, but just basically straighten up. There are two kids in the house, ages 10 and 14, who are pretty much independent, although the 10 year old doesn't know how to make breakfast for herself, and also two hypoallergenic, very friendly dogs. Besides cleaning the house, we may ask for some light grocery shopping if the housekeeper has her own car, however we don’t plan on her driving our family cars, unless it is an emergency. I also have a disease called Tardive Dyskinesia, which causes me to have occasional severe muscle spasms, during which I may need assistance in taking my medication, calling my doctor, and relaxing to end the spasm, which is the main reason I am looking for a live in housekeeper. We have a renovated basement that opens up to a large backyard, and has lots of windows, with a bedroom, full bathroom with shower, and lounge with a couch and TV with cable that would be the housekeeper's “almost” private floor to live on. (The garage opens up to a mudroom next to the basement, and there is also a home gym that my husband and I use.) We are located in northern New Jersey, about 20 miles from New York City. The housekeeper would also have weekends of if she liked, and had a place to go. Must be a women older than 35, with experience, good health, references, and background check. Pay will be determined upon contact. Driver’s license, own car, and athleticism preferred. All food and utilities will be provided.
