Hotbed Media, is producing a third series of the popular property programme 'Build, Buy or Restore' for the Discovery channel and are currently looking for contributors. This time its abroad and we are seeking couples that are currently living in France, Spain, Portugal or Cyprus or are thinking of relocating to the mentioned countries. The programme will be exploring the pros and cons of self-building and renovation/conversion versus simply buying a finished home.

We are searching for couples who are looking to move house and are interested in knowing more about self-build and renovation/conversion in one of the locations mentioned above, but who haven't taken their first steps yet. Filming takes place over two days between September and November.

Couples will benefit from expert advice and an insider's look at an array of properties in their chosen locations geared towards their needs and desires as well as their price range. The couples are guided through the process by our self-build expert, Editor-in-Chief of Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine, Michael Holmes.

If you are only just considering moving and you have a budget of £150,000 or more, let the Build Buy or Restore team come to your assistance and perhaps open your eyes to some exciting options you may not have thought suitable or possible! sonia, I wrote to you a little while ago to say that my husband and I are now under contract for a beautiful piece of land in the quaint seaside village of Caminha. It is a great mid-evil village on the Atlantic in the very north western corner of Portugal. We know alot about building and are wanting to do a cool "green" home , perhaps a pre-fab that is 1700 to 2000 sq. ft.

We maybe very good candiates for your future projects and would be able to use experimental wall systems etc.... a natural swimming pool, grey water systems etc....
