We are an American couple in our 50's who have been living overseas for the past 4 years. We are interested in relocating to Portugal and would like to find a villa for 1 to 2 year rental, 3 to 4 bedrooms in the Algarve area perhaps around Lagos. Is it possible to find an unfurnished house as we would like to ship our belongings here from Italy, otherwise we would need a garage for storing our things. Any suggestions?

Hiya, does anyone know what sort of magazines or similar would be good to advertise a rural idyll in... this property would attract a specific type of person.. someone looking for a rural dream, own grown veg etc.. maybe retired but still active hence the house build project.. or a younger couple able to work from home or not worried about commuting.. do you see why I need help with where best to advertise directly? This is land of 7 acres, 2.2 hecatres. Currently has lovely modernised static home in place although exits a ruin for someone to build their own home. Lots of olive and fruit trees veggie garden... near Beja... where an airport is soon to open. Thanks for any suggestions pointing in the right direction.

"long term rental wanted"
My husband and I are relocating early next year 2010 and want to live in Portugal. We are looking for a 3/4 bed property, reasonably priced and fairly modern - unfurnished for long term (init. 12mths) rental. Anywhere in Southern/Central Portugal... pref within easy driving distance to a beach. Can anyone suggest anything please as I have searched the web and am coming up with very little. Thanks.
