Hello,I was wondering if anyone has good knowledge about Qatar visas and residence permits and can help me out.I've been offered a job in Qatar and my employer will sponsor my residence permit. I am also my mother's guardian as she's disabled. Will I be able to bring her to stay with me and how can I go about getting a residence permit for her as well?Would very much appreciate any information on this. Thank you, Aliya.

Dear Aliya,

It is very easy to bring your mother as guardian here. but first you should establish yourself here then u can, as far as concer u, your sponser will arrange visa, herein Qatar, Govt issuing many kinds of visa, first they can bring uon Business visa which validity is 2 weeks after arrival u can extend it 10 more weeks it means u can stay here on same visa is 84 days withinh this period yr sponsor will b able to arrange permanent visa. if u need help regarding visa then u can. i am here working as PRO since 2005.

I have some doubts regarding residency permit in Qatar, still I have valid Saudi residency visa in my pass port, I got a good job in Qatar but I don’t know , anything problem to get workpermit in Qatar please kindly answer to my question any one

Dear Sir,

I am in the process of obtaining a job offer from a company in Doha, Qatar. I would be grateful if you are able to advise me about the medical test that is required to obtain the residence permit. Can I bring the medical test results that I usually do annually in Canada, or do I need to conduct a medical test in Doha. If so, what does the test entail in details?

i have just landed in Qatar, i am going to apply for Residance permit within couple of days.

mu problem is that earlier i used to work in Oman and my Oman visa is not cancelled. i just want to know that this will create any problem for getting the Qatar Residance permit.

I have cancelled my qatar residence visa in july 2007 ( final exit ) and returned to india. the residence visa was valid from mar-07 to mar-08. now i have finished my interview waiting for a residence visa. will i be able to go back. i heard that since i exit from qatar, it will take atleast one year to reenter to qatar. im a enginer by profession.

please reply asap.

I will move to Qatar in sep. with my three kids to teach at an international school.I am a widower and would like to bring my mom with.The school will sponsor me and the kids.Can they also sponsor my mom?Please give advice.

Hello Sir,

I already have a residence permit under my father's sponsorship, whos working for Qatar Petroleum, currently residing in India from 26 Mar'08.Also my RP is getting expired on 21st September'08 and Im planning to get back to Qatar by the end of August.Kindly clarify with following points:

1. Is there any restriction for the number of months staying away from Qatar and to return back to qatar.

2. Is there any possibility to renew my RP im absence or do it online.

Appreciate if you could reply as early as possible.

I was in Qatar last year, i leaft last Dec.20 2007 coz i give birth here in Romania, Bucharest then now im planning to go back again thru visit visa with my baby.I was never been cancelled.

If your company visa is cancelled ..is there any possibility that you can come back with the visit visa ?

Please could you advise me I have worked for eight years in Qatar for the same sponsor.The present plan is to retire on attaining 60 in September 2008.If I were to seek another sponsor and was offered a position with them would this be reasonable Do I require any form of release from my present employer.

i am working in qatar currently, , and i have applied for a residence visa for my wife and kid , , and has been granted, and they have to join me before 10 th december 2008. but now they have to stay back till jan 2009 for some personal reasons, , is there any possibility to extend the date they need to enter this country? it would be very greatfull if u could help, , thank you

basically i am a civil Engineer, my present company transfer me from Dubai to qatar two month back. but in my visa they mention professional as Labour.So i asked in beginning but they told the engineering visa has been closed for this project after getting RP we will change it. So please confirm me is it possible to change. or any problem with this type of visa.

My visa(Qatar) will expire on 9th March 2009. I got another offer in Qatar. I have two questions.

1. Should I ask my present company to renew my visa and give NOC.

2. Should I ask my presnet company to cancel my visa and give NOC.

Whihc is safe to get a new visa for new company

my wife cancelled her visa in qatar if she come in husbands visa can she work in qatar again
