I have a painting by Pelbam that's of a Rabbi18 by 20 have had for 25 years. Also have Old Man And the Sea painting that has a red sunset back ground and facing oppsite way than from 2 others i've seen waitng reply thank Brad Gurshin PS do you know of any Christopher Gurshin art

I have what seems to be an original oil on canvas painting of a sea captain in a white captain's uniform by David Pelbam. It is 12"x16' and in the original frame. I have not been able to locate any more information on this particular painting. Can anyone help me.

i am trying to research this guy and can fin little info. it makes me want to know more. is there any way that you guys could take a high quality picture, and email them to me? im trying to collect as many pictures of his work for a paer im writing. all help would be greatly appreciated. apachewelder@yahoo.com

Im not sure if youre aware who "david pelbam" or "van meer" as "he's" sometimes known, is... "he" was a team of 6 artist hired by a furniture store(most of the paintings still have the gold sticker from the store on the back). he doesn't exist, never did. that whole "born in 1932, in Rhode Island, painting in his 60's" blah blah blah. i have three of these, and researched and researched emailed, called, faxed and snail mailed to every expert, and museum i could find for the last 8 MONTHS. and the reality is, there IS no reality of this guy. hes a specter, a ghost. the paintings ARE nice, but they're only worth AT MOST $100. they sold at the store new for between $4 and $31 when they first came out. i just figured id let you know.... and believe you me i HATE to be the bearer of bad news.....
